Updates for Gas Engineer Software – May 2021

We’ve had another busy month at Gas Engineer Software, with 10 releases and over 28 individual improvements!

We’ve implemented a ton of user-suggested features this month; these include a new button on the Web Portal for creating VAT Domestic Reverse Charge invoices, the ability to tag and upload multiple photos at once to the apps, and additional search features to make things even easier to find within the software.

Additionally we have made further improvements on the back-end, improving sync times and generally making the software more stable day-to-day.

Web Portal Updates

(4 releases – current version 1.25.18)

• Added support for VAT Domestic Reverse Charge
• Added company name to LPG Safety Record if enabled under Settings
• Town is now displayed under Job Addresses and Customers tabs
• Customer’s landline is now searchable via Customers tab / Quick-Search
• Made several adjustments to the Gas Service Record based on user feedback
• Made some improvements to the QuickBooks integration
• Postcode is now displayed for oil service reports
• Line items deleted on invoices can now be restored
• Comments on the Gas Service Record will now always begin on the first page
• Introduced back-end changes that will result in future events being supplied to the apps

iOS App Updates

(4 releases – current version 5.7.5)

• We’ve introduced the ability to select multiple photos from your library to upload at once
• Added a new Edit function for existing issued records
• The keyboard type provided for entering inspection results on the CD/12 has been updated
• Editing a draft will now skip the Customer and Job Address sections
• Converting an Estimate or Quote will now retain the order of the line items
• The app will now allow the device to lock when inactive for a period of time
• Attachments displayed when emailing an invoice will now exclude records which will not be included

Android App Updates

(3 releases – current version 6.0.18)

• Added an option to save an email address from the email screen if it doesn’t match the existing email address for that customer
• Added support for adding multiple photos at once
• Introduced improvements to a number of input fields within the software
• Improved how some data is pulled from Anton FGAs
• Job reference field is now automatically populated on the job sheet General stability and sync improvements
• Added an option to delete an applied discount
• Added support for adding multiple photos at once
• Introduced improvements to the speed of subsequent syncs
• Fixed an issue that prevented the app from successfully issuing a record
• Resolved a rare case where calendar events would not show
• Introduced a number of back-end changes which will improve the stability of the software
