MOT Style Servicing Scheme Now on Gas Engineer Software

by | Apr 23, 2018 | Gas Engineer Software

On the 6th of April, the new changes to Regulation 36 brought in by the Health Safety Executive came into effect. These new changes have introduced an MOT-style servicing scheme which is intended to give landlords greater flexibility. From now on, annual gas safety checks can be carried out two months before the due date while retaining the existing expiry date.

We have just released an update to Gas Engineer Software so that you can take advantage of this new MOT-style servicing scheme.

Going forward, any new Gas Safety certificates produced within Gas Engineer Software will automatically update the service due date in line with the changes to these regulations.

If, for example, you were to produce a Gas Safety certificate within the two month period leading up to the service due date, the software will simply add a year onto the existing service due date.

These changes have been made as part of our continued development of the software, to ensure that Gas Engineer Software is saving you both time and money.

Further information regarding the regulation changes can be found here on the Governments legislation website.
