Planned System Outage for Upgrading Database Servers – Tonight Between 10pm and 11pm

What is happening?

We will be upgrading the hardware of our database servers.

When is it happening?
Wednesday the 14th of September between 10 and 11pm – Tonight!

How will this affect me?

During this time you will not be able to use the website nor be able to sync your app.

But you will be able to create certificates, quotes and invoices on the app as if you were using the app without internet access.

For those who would like to know more

The upgrade is due to the large number of new customers and to ensure that the website and syncing are as fast as humanly possible.

The new database servers will have 8 CPU’s and 32 GB of ram.

Plus faster CPU’s – Intel Xeon E5-2676 v3 (Haswell)

There is also improvements with disk storage and the network bandwidth.

Also improved recovery/ failover – It will only take 30 to 60 seconds for a new server to come online if there is issues with the live database servers.
